I believe that cooking is a type of culture. Just like with fashion, people can express themselves through their cooking. Cooks take pride in their work and some even go to the extreme to make them look extravagant. Not only do cooks have to make food taste great but they also have to make it visually stimulating. No one is going to eat something that looks like it came out of a sewer, despite how it tastes. This is the main reason that I feel that cooking is a culture.
